Jeremy A. Wechsler

Jeremy A. Wechsler is a licensed attorney in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and focuses his practice on estate planning, and elder law for a variety of families. Jeremy is adamant that every family should plan, no matter how little or much they have, remarking that “proper estate planning shows compassion for your family, allowing for continuity during difficult times and diffusing any possible conflict or uncertainty.”

In his time of practice, Jeremy has quickly gained the respect and confidence of the community he serves. Jeremy exclusively practices in the area of estate planning, allowing him to focus his complete attention on the latest laws, trends and technology in the field. He regularly attends conferences and seminars to hear from other experts across the country.

Jeremy regularly speaks on estate planning matters in front of community groups, as well as seminars and workshops provided for the benefit of prospective and current clients. He has spoken at numerous religious and civic groups and workshops about estate and elder law planning.

Beyond estate planning, Jeremy’s life has been devoted to helping others. After graduating from The George Washington University School of Business, Jeremy joined Teach For America, a national program that places recent college graduates in underserved public schools throughout the United States for two years. He spent three years teaching middle school in West Philadelphia. Jeremy currently serves as a mentor at John Marshall Elementary School in Philadelphia, PA.

During law school, Jeremy expanded his focus on helping others by working for the New York City Department of Homeless Services, New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, and The Legal Aid Society. Jeremy also participated in his law school’s Urban Law Clinic, where he successfully helped several clients in special education and employment discrimination matters.

Through these experiences, Jeremy has learned of the importance of helping others and giving back to your community. Estate planning is a natural extension of his commitment to helping people. Jeremy knows that having a trusted plan that properly cares for family and friends can provide peace of mind for clients and their family members. It is simply the best gift you can give to yourself and your family. As such, Jeremy takes the time to work with each client to understand his or her individual and family needs, and tailors each estate plan accordingly.

Jeremy attended New York Law School, where he graduated at the top third of his class. He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, and is an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar and Montgomery County bar. Jeremy is also a proud member of the national organization ElderCounsel, a group of top attorneys practicing in long-term care assset preservation. Jeremy is also proud to be a member of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. In addition to his legal background, Jeremy holds a Masters of Education from Saint Joseph’s University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from The George Washington University.

In his spare time, Jeremy enjoys traveling, volunteering, mentoring, politics and spending time with his family and Daisy, his lovable rat terrier.
